Believe - Core Beliefs

We Believe

• The Bible is God’s Word and our instruction book for life
• In one God, creator of all things
• Jesus Christ is God’s Son and gave His life so we could have eternal life and abundant life
• Salvation is a free gift obtained by God’s grace alone through personal faith alone in Christ’s atoning work alone
• The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a life that pleases God and ministers to others
• The Church is commissioned by God to reveal His Word, His Worship and His Ways to the world
• Satan is the personal, spiritual adversary of God and His followers
• God has a unique purpose for our lives and we should seek it
• There will be a final judgment at which God will assign all people their eternal destinies
• The term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union and God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other.

 By God’s grace and power, we will:

• Study God’s word to know Him and to grow in Him
• Pray to God to know Him and to find His direction for our daily lives
• Worship God for who He is and what He has done
• Faithfully attend and actively participate in Biblical Community
• Show God to the world around us through our personal life, our family, and our relationships
• Give our time to serve God and others
• Use the abilities and gifts God gives us to serve Him and others
• Give tithes and offerings from the money God gives us
• Make fulfilling God’s purposes our highest goal

Become - Core Values

 By God’s grace and power, we purpose to become people who:

• Love God above all and others above ourselves
• Maintain joy and purpose regardless of circumstances
• Seek to maintain peace with God and others
• Are patient
• Are thoughtful and considerate 
• Are honest and ethical
• Are faith-filled and faithful to find and fulfill God’s will
• Are humble and regard others as more important than self
• Submit all their dreams and desires to the Holy Spirit
