Restoration Church started in January of 1998 when four families started meeting together in their homes for prayer. In March of 1998 we began holding corporate meetings in a day care facility in Richland, Mississippi. In October of 2000 we leased and are now purchasing our current worship center located at 2136 Hwy 49 South between Florence and Richland Mississippi. Our Sunday worship service starts at 10:00 AM.
From the beginning the Church has met corporately and in small groups – “in the temple and house to house” (Acts 2:46). We can’t have deep relationships with everyone, but we can cultivate some with a few. For every person, the center of family life is usually a small group of people who get together regularly so that people can study spiritual truth together, and in the process, come to a place where they can know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served, celebrate and be celebrated. This is the how Jesus did church. He ministered to thousands but He met regularly with a small group of 12 people.
We also meet together in small groups that we call “Care Groups.” A Care Group is a small group of 10-20 people who meet together regularly for the purpose of studying spiritual truth, fellowship and outreach. Our corporate services unite us for Worship, Word and Work and our Care Groups enable us to develop intimacy and accountability relationships.
